Awards and qualifications
Saraya has won many awards and accolades over the ten years that she has been a professional photographer.
Most noteably in 2007 Saraya was the first ever female photographer to gain the title of Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photographers in studio portraiture in it’s 105 year history.
A Fellowship is the most prestigious qualification that a professional photographer is able to achieve in portrait photography and one that very few photographers are able to realise.
Also this year Saraya was voted The London Portrait Photographer of the Year, after a year long competition.
After gaining the level of Associate in 2005, Saraya was nominated to recieve the Peter Grugeon award for best submission of that year.
Saraya has also won many awards in the National Awards for the British Institute. Saraya is now a judge at this level for both qualifications and National awards. And is a BIPP approved assessor and mentor to other aspiring photographers, She teaches workshops in studio lighting and also offers one to one training for both pro and amature photographers, please contact Saraya for more details regarding dates.
